Prof. dr. Sultana MH Faradz, PhD

In 1978, she graduated as a medical doctor from Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University. She continued to take her master degree majoring on Histology in FMDU and graduated in 1987. She joined Electron Microscope & Cytogenetics course in Tottory University, Japan in 1988 and Kobe University, Japan in 1990. In 1992, she went to Sydney, Australia for training in Cancer Cytogenetics at the Prince of Wales Hospital. She graduated her doctoral degree on Medical Genetics at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia in 1998. During her study, she followed several courses on Clinical Genetics at Sydney Children Hospital from 1994 to 1995, Clinical Epidemiology course at School of Community Medicine, UNSW, Sydney in 1995, Molecular genetic course at DNA Research Lab. Ongwanada Resource Centre, Kingston, Canada in 1996, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System & Radiation Safety course at Dept. of Environmental Health & Safety, Queen’s University, as well as a Research Fellow at DNA Research Lab. Dept of Psychiatry, Queen’s University, Kingston in 1997. In 1999, she was appointed as the Head of Molecular and Cytogenetics Unit, Medical Biotechnology Laboratory FMDU. She attended other courses in Collaboration Research of molecular DHF at Academic Medical Center, Amsterdam University, and Collaboration Research in X-link mental retardation at Department of Human Genetics, Nijmegen University, The Netherlands in 2000. In 2003, she has been appointed as a Professor of Medical Science. In 2006, she initiated the establishment of Master Program of Genetic Counseling at Diponegoro University, which is the first Genetic Counseling course in Indonesia and also in ASEAN countries. This program is a joint degree program with other centers in overseas such as Radboud University Nijmegen, Erasmus University Rotterdam, VU University Amsterdam Netherlannds, University California, Davis USA and University de Poitiers France.  Since 2007, she has been appointed as the Director of Center for Biomedical Research (CEBIOR) at Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University and the Head of Master Program of Genetics Counseling Diponegoro University. In 2010 she awarded a fellowship for 3 months research fellow at MCRI University of Melbourne. She has also been appointed as the Vice Rector for Development and Collaboration for four years from 2011 to 2015. Lately, she finished her Leadership Training Program at The Australia-Indonesia University Executives Knowledge Sharing Project 2014, Universities Australia, from 10 to 25 April 2015. Many scientific communities has been joined by her such as a member of Human Genetics Society Australasia (HGSA), American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG), Asian-Pacific of Human Genetics Association  and chair for the Indonesian Society of Human Genetics (InaSHG) since 2016. She has also been a speaker in many conferences both national and international conferences

Dr. dr. Asri Purwanti, Sp.A(K), MPd

In 1982, she graduated from Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University and was awarded as the Best Student of Diponegoro University from the Ministry of National Education, Indonesia. In June 1985, she was recruited as the Head of Centro Health Care Center in Dili, East Timor. In July 1987, she became the Branch Chief of Health Office in Liquica, East Timor. She started her medical residency in Department of Child Health, Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University inn 1989 and became Pediatrician in Dr. Kariadi Semarang Hospital in 1996. She followed a course in Genetic Services in Harapan Kita Hospital in 1995 and cytogenetic and clinical genetic training in National University Hospital, Singapore, in 1996.  In 2000, she took her Master of Science majoring in Guidance and Counseling in Faculty of Education Semarang State University in 2002. She graduated from her consultant degree of Pedriatic Endocrinology in 2007 and her doctoral degree majoring in Education Management in 2014. She also has followed a short course in Pediatric Endocrinology in Wuhan, China, in 2005. Since 1995, she has become a medical staff in the Department of Child Health Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University/Dr. Kariadi Semarang Hospital. She is a member of National Working Group on Immunization of the Indonesian Pediatric Association, Head/Consultant of Regional Adverse Event Following Immunization and Coordinator of Experts on Regional Early Child Educational Program in Central Java.

She joined Center for Biomedical Research (CEBIOR), Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University after obtaining her Master in 2004. In 2005, she followed the Genetics Laboratory training at the Department of Human Genetics, Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre, The Netherlands and Department of Clinical Genetics, Erasmus MC, The Netherlands. In 2010-2011, she was at The MIND Institute University of California Davis, CA, USA for Fragile X syndrome: Clinical and Laboratory training and Short Course on early intervention for children with ID and Autism in 2013. He obtained her PhD degree in 2013 with the main research is Intellectual Disability (ID) including Fragile X syndrome and other genetic ID, and Autism. Her publications are mostly in ID and Fragile X syndrome and FXS-associated disorders and Genetic ID.


Dr. dr. Neni Susilaningsih, M.Si

In 1987, she graduated from Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University. She was directly recruited as an assistant lecturer in Department of Histology FMDU. She achieved her Master of Science majoring on Immunology from Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University in 1995. During her career, she followed a workshop on Tissue Culture in Faculty of Medicine The National University of Malaysia in November until December 2007. She was awarded several grants from the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Research and Technology such as RISBIN IPTEKDOK grant (1999-2000), Hibah bersaing X and XI (2002-2004), DCRG-URGE program, Project grant research from ‘QUE project’ for 2 periods (2000-2001), Incentive Research by Indonesian Ministry of Science and Technology (2007-2008). She also achieved several awards such as Satya Lencana Karya Satya in 2006 and 2012 from the government, as well as Adi Satya Utama from Indonesian Medical Association in 2012. She has been recruited as a lecturer in Department of Histology FMDU since 1991 and a lecturer in Master Program of Biomedical Science FMDU since 1998. Last year (2016), she graduated from her doctoral degree in FMDU and became a member of Senate FMDU for the next two years. Recently, she has been appointed as the Head of Medical Study Program FMDU for the next three years from 2017 to 2020

He has gained an additional expertise concerning Pediatric Urology in Sophia Children’s Hospital, Rotterdam, The Netherlands (1987-1988). Afterwards, he attended one month course on Urethral Reconstruction in Hamburg, Germany in 2007. He was appointed as pediatric urologist at Dr. Kariadi Hospital and lecturer for undergraduate and postgraduate students at FMDU.

He graduated from medical doctor Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University in 1983. The main research topics involved the role of ubiquitin proteasome in the pathogenesis of hypertropic cardiomyopathy caused by cardiac myosin binding protein C mutation and the development of cardiac biopacemaker from embryonic stem cells. For now, he is working in Department of Anatomy FMDU and being a member of Molecular Cardiology Subdivision, Division of Molecular Division, CEBIOR.

In 2000, he graduated as a medical doctor from Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University (FMDU) and was recruited as an assistant lecturer at the Department of Anatomy FMDU. In 2005, he graduated from the Master Program of Biomedical Science FMDU. He graduated from Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University in 1996 and achieved his Master of Science in Human Reproduction in 2004 from the same university. He took his specialist degree in Andrology and graduated in 2006. He continued his study and graduated from his doctoral degree in 2014 in Erasmus University Rotterdam. In 2005, he followed endocrinology fellowship training in Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam The Netherlands and two years later he joined a training on Clinic and Laboratory of Paediatric Endocrinology in 2007 in the same place. He has been working as a lecturer in Medical Biology and Genetics since 1997. He joined CEBIOR in 2001 and became a member of Sexual Adjustment Team in 2003. He was appointed as the Head of Department of Clinical Biology Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang and the Head of Department of Biology in Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University as well in 2009 until now. Currently, he has became the Vice Dean of Research and Innovation in FMDU since 2015. He has been a member of Indonesian Medical Association and Indonesian Andrology Association. He has been actively joining workshops and conferences on medical genetics and andrology since 1997. Some of his works are presented and published in both national and international journals and conferences. He awarded a DIKTI Fellowship.


dr. Nani Maharani, MSi.Med, Ph.D

She graduated as a medical doctor from Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University in 2006. From 2007 to 2008, she joined the master degree program in Biomedical Sciences majoring Genetics Counseling at Diponegoro University, twinning program with Vrije Universiteit (VU) Medical Centre, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She did the research on Marfan Syndrome and related disorders in VU. Some of the research were written as her master thesis entitled “Analysis on TGFBR1 gene in Marfan Syndrome and Related Disorders Negative for FBN1 and TGFBR2 mutations”. She became a research assistant on Disorders of Sex Development (DSD) research project, a joint research project between Center for Biomedical Center Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University Semarang, Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and Murdoch Children Research Institute Melbourne, Australia in 2008 until 2012. In 2009, she joined a traineeship on Clinical and Molecular genetics the Department of Human Genetics and Epidemiology, Biostatistics & HTA of the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre, The Netherlands, for 3 months. She took her doctoral degree in Regenerative Medicine & Therapeutics in Tottori University Graduate School of Medical Science, Japan, in 2013 and graduated in 2016. She has been working as a lecturer in Pharmacology and Therapeutics Department FMDU since the end of 2006. Since 2010, she has also been joining Molecular Medicine Division in Center for Biomedical Research (CEBIOR) FMDU a staff


dr. Muflihatul Muniroh, MSi.Med, PhD

She graduated as a Medical Doctor from Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University (FMDU), Semarang in 2006. She continued her master degree in Biomedical Science majoring on Genetic Counseling, Diponegoro University and graduated in 2009. She joined a training program on molecular examination in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Molecular Biology Institute (UMBI), Malaysia which her topic was genetic aspect of colorectal cancer, correlated between Kras2 gene mutations with clinical characteristics of Malaysian colorectal cancer patients. In 2009 until 2011, she worked as a research assistant on Disorders of Sex Development (DSD), Center for Biomedical Research (CEBIOR) FMDU in collaboration with Erasmus MC University Medical Centre, Rotterdam, The Netherland and Murdoch Children Research Institute, University of Melbourne, Australia. Recently, she finished her doctoral degree in Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, Graduate School of Medicine and Dental Sciences, Kagoshima University, Japan in 2016. Her research topic was about molecular genetics of colorectal cancer patients among Indonesian population. In 2008, she joined Center for Biomedical Research (CEBIOR), FMDU. She has been working in Department of Physiology FMDU as academic staff since 2008 and a research assistant in Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Kagoshima University since 2012


dr. RR. Mahayu Dewi Ariani, MSi.Med.

She graduated as a Medical Doctor from Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University (FMDU) in 2006. She has beent working in Department of Biology FMDU since 2007. She continued her master degree in Master Program of Biomedical Science majoring on Genetic Counseling FMDU and graduated in 2010. In 2009, she has done her research in the Division of Functional Genomics Research Center for Bioscience and Technology, Tottori University, Japan and followed Molecular Study on Joubert syndrome and Autism projects. At this moment, she is as a lecturer in Department of Biology FMDU and and general practitioner in Diponegoro National Hospital. She is a member Disorders of Sex Development (DSD) Subdivision, Division of Human Genetics, CEBIOR


dr. Agustini Utari, MSi.Med, Sp.A(K).

She graduated from Medical Doctor Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University in 1997 and then worked in the Public Health Center in Ende, East Nusa Tenggara, for five years. In 2003, she started her residency in Department of Pediatric FMDU and graduated as a pediatrician in 2007. In 2008, she took her master degree in Master Program of Genetic Counseling Diponegoro University and did her one year research fellow in Medical Investigation of Neurodevelopmental Disorders (MIND) Institute, University of California Davis, USA (2008-2009). She also attended Autism Research Training Program (ARTP) during her fellowship in MIND Institute. She carried out the research about screening, targeted treatment, and permutation involvement in Fragile X syndrome as well as genetic involvement in Autism. In 2015, she has finished her Pediatric Endocrynology Consultant in University of Indonesia, Jakarta. She has also presented and published her research in some international and national journals and conferences. She is a lecturer in Department of Pediatric FMDU and Master Program of Genetic Counseling Diponegoro University. Recently, she is taking her doctoral degree in FMDU and doing her research about Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia in Radboud University Medical Center, Nijmegen, The Netherlands.
